In June 2023, I began training with JB after many years of living a sedentary lifestyle and making unhealthy choices. From the very start, JB and I sat down to discuss my goals and what I wanted to achieve with his help. He took the time to understand the aches, pains, and limitations I was dealing with, which made me feel confident that he was truly invested in my journey.

Over many days, weeks, and months of training, JB guided me not only through physical exercises but also through making better food choices. I had to relearn how to eat, and we worked through my relationship with food—how I felt about it and the patterns I’d developed over the years. His comprehensive approach made all the difference.

Today, I am 75 pounds lighter. My core is strong, I am strong, and I’ve transformed into a more athletic person than I ever thought possible. JB is not just a trainer or coach; he’s a powerful motivator who knows exactly how to push you to your limits—and that’s exactly what I needed.

I highly recommend JB to anyone looking to embark on their own fitness journey. His dedication and strength, both physically and mentally, can inspire anyone to reach their full potential.

To whom it may concern:

I met Joseph Bolton (JB) in November 2023. I was at a point in my life where I needed to make a change because my mental health was on the decline. I have always been a very busy sports mom and suddenly I found myself as an empty nester. My whole world as I knew it changed drastically and I was not adapting well to it. For so many years, I concentrated my whole life on my kids. Now suddenly they were off to college and I finally had to take a look at myself in the mirror. I did not like what I saw - inside or out.

I joined Anytime Fitness (AF) in November and met JB briefly. I started classes about 4 times a week and lost a little bit of weight but it wasn't until JB came back from medical leave in January 2024 that things started to change. JB started nutritional training with me which in my eyes, was no easy task. As a person that does not care for fruits or vegetables, I knew he had his work cut out for him. However, he successfully created a plan that I was happy with and that I knew I could stick with for the long run.

I cannot say enough good things about JB. Not only have I lost almost 30 pounds since I started, but more importantly, I feel my mental health has tremendously improved. JB has supported me and encouraged me throughout this whole journey. I feel that he truly cares about my progress. He tweaks my workouts to help me in the areas I need help on and he pushes me to always strive to be work harder - always in an encouraging way. He checks in with me constantly to see where my weight is at and asks me if I'm making good choices. Just by him asking me that, it makes me always think about the choices that I am making.

I never thought that I could lose this much weight or even get close to getting back to the body that I had 30 years ago. I still have more to go but I truly owe so much to JB. Without him, none of this would have been possible. I could never have done this without JB's encouragement and support. I would recommend JB as a trainer to anyone that wants to make a change in their life. If he would start his own fitness studio, I would gladly join his studio.

Recommendation Letter by Lynn Koresh

JB’s workouts are never boring!

I especially like exercising with JB because he starts each session by asking what hurts today. Based on my answer, we do the appropriate stretches and strengthening to get rid of that particular ache. JB challenges me, but doesn’t push too hard. He understands the aging body and what things we should do to help minimize our chance of injury. His goal is to burn 300 calories in a session and we accomplish that quite often. Because I have been working with and learning from JB for over a year now, I am much more fit and able to enjoy more activities in my retirement.
